I live near Kórnik, a small town 20 kilometres far from Poznań. As you probably know, there is a famous castle in my hometown. Some say that the sao-called White Lady haunts it but, frankly speaking, it's just a gimmicky idea to attract tourists:)))

There is also a beautiful garden
behind the castle. It's full of
breathtaking views, rare plants
and...truant players:)))

Kórnik is really beautiful at night, but I wouldn't advise anyone to go out when it's dark- you might put your life in jeopardy:)

As you can see the spelling of my hometown's name is debatable:). The truth is that it used to be "kurnik" in medieval times, but the inhabitants didn't find calling them hens funny:)))

Basia, your hometown is marvellous and it's essential to add that wonderful people live there! Each year they're really friendly to thirsty and hungry pilgrims heading for Czestochowa :)
hehe nice pics you've chosen:)and yeah, it is creepy around you to go out at night without a flashlight:D
Nice story about the name of the town :) I thought it was a matter of coincidence that the name sounds the same as "henhouse" in Polish :)
Well I love the castle in Kornik so whatever you would write about it I would enjoy it anyway;>
