Babette in five years...:)

A difficult task it is:))) I will wake up at 6:30 in order to tell my husband to go to work:)Then I will go to school and teach EFL succesfully by applying the knowlegde I received in TTT:))) After few hours of effective language teaching I will go back home and probably call some of my friends form 2nd group to make sure I keep abreast of things;)I may also start studying something quite different(German?)and devote my "free time" to this new passion:) All things considered, I will be happy and satisfied with my life:)

Barack Obama

Barack Obama seems to me a reasonable man with enough experience to perform his prestigeous function. Although I disagree with some of his opinions, especially concerning abortion, I appreciate the fact that Obama tried to "take the bull by the horns" by adressing difficult issues even in his first speech (among other problems to be tackled he mentioned financial crisis and unemployment). He seems less vulnerable to silly faux-pas and embarrasing behaviour than his predecessors, and I hope he won't let his followers down bo doing something inappropriate. To be frank, I wish we had such eloguent and, at the same time, easy-going, politicians in our beautiful country:)

my teaching practice

I always wanted to be a teacher, even when I was a child and could not understand what it is like. That is why I was extremely anxious about my teaching practice and wanted to do my best. I spent hours searching for both interesting and informative topics, involving activities and nice visual aids. Me first lessons weren't that bad, but I must admit that I was scared and just pretended to be confident. I also tried hard to do everything "according to my plan" and my students probably felt like privates during their first days in army:) Fortunately, my "mentor teacher" was kind enough to give me some positive feedback and I could eventually calm down:)But the worst was to come...:) It turned out that my first "observed lesson" was going to be on Friday 13th. I called my sister every five minutes to ask if she thought I was going to pass or not:)I had the worst premonitions possible, including fainting students or me making a silly pronunciation mistake...Of course I exagerrated, everything was ok and I passed with flying colours. My next lessons were easier for me as I finally realised "who was the boss in the class:))and could focus on teaching itself. I can say now that it is really enjoyable for me and, although I have to improve in some respects, teaching seems the best option for me:)

Photos and Memories

Happy New Year everyone:) I know that it's a bit too late to post this, but I've put the blame on Santa who was so kind as to bring me everything I wanted apart from a scanner:))) Well, that's life. Since I eventually managed to scan some old photos of my family, I'd like to write about our memories of Christmas. You may not believe it, but I was a naughty child and I used to argue with the Santa himself:) The only activity I enjoed was baking gingerbread with my Mum. I loved it that she allowed me to make my own bell- or Santa-shaped ginger nuts:) Here's a photo of my Mum and me. Unfortunately, the right part of it is destroyed (you know, it's almost as old as me:)))

Now I have more duties when it comes to preparing food, decorating our house, looking after naughty children (it seems to me that life takes revenge on me- they're as crazy as auntie Basia used to be:))) What's more, I am the Santa now and I've just realised how difficult it is to imitate a jovial man in his eighties:))) Ok, that would be all- I'm getting sentimental;) I wish you all good health, true happiness, everlasing love;) whatever you dream of...

This is me at the age of six:)
